THANK YOU!
We wanted to say thank you to everyone for all of the thoughtful and wonderful gifts this year. Emory has been having a hard time deciding which toys to play with. He loves his tunnel, trains, cars, balls, blocks and more, and has spent the morning trying to play with them all! He will love his new bath toys and 'gifts yet to be decided upon'. Thank you, thank you, thank you and Merry Christmas and a very wonderful new year to all of our family and friends!

Exciting new time...end of the crib era (for now)
Bright and early this morning we decided that it was time to update Emory's room. We heard from Nana that Emory escaped from his crib earlier this week, so he now sleeps in his "big boy bed". He has been sleeping in it on and off for awhile, but his crib was still his primary bed. So this morning we took apart his crib and moved his room around for him. WOW! He has so much more space in his room, and we spent a good hour playing in his room. He is also getting dressed in stages as you can see from the pictures.

Below Freezing Cold & Snowing
We woke up this morning (way too early; thanks Emory) to about 4" of snow and temperatures right around 0 degrees. We needed something to do to get out of the house, so we braved the outdoors and went to visit the Butterfly Pavilion. It was a very good morning; all the snow drove everyone away and there were very few people there. Emory got to hold Rosie (the spider), pet the starfish and play with the butterflies. Mommy and Daddy also had some good time as well.

Merry Christmas
Today was my work's children's Christmas party. We took Emory this morning it was great! We went shopping in the gift shop and then to the party. Mr. & Mrs. Santa Clause came in on a fire truck with their 2 elves. They gave out presents and had cookies, juice, fruit & cheeses. Emory got a wonderful box of balls (soccer, baseball, football and basketball). He was very excited and insisted on playing outside the rest of the morning.

Explanation
I thought I should offer an explanation for previous post.
1. We do NOT have a dog. The dog featured is Cassie, one of Dad's 6 beasts.
2. Despite Emory saying "I NEED a doggie" "A doggie for Christmas, a BIG doggie" a few times a week, we will not get a dog until I have found a kind that doesn't bark, shed, dig, bite, destroy, or chew. Or alternatively one that comes with a trust fund to handle above problems.
3. We will not be getting another cat for Christmas either. (sorry, Gabe)
4. Any dogs that "mysteriously" end up at the house on Christmas will be returned (this means you Dad!)
5. Any cats that end up at the house on Christmas will also be sent to Dad's. (just kidding..hahahahahaha)
