Back to school

Today is the first day of school for Emory and Lily!  Emory was greeted by friends he hasn't seen since spring and was fine leaving me to chat and catch up. Lily was nervous,  held my hand until the last minute,  but was brave and walked into class like the big girl she is. I think it was harder on me than either of them! My baby is now a kindergartner,  how the time flies.

Meet the newest member of our family,  Snarf. He is about 9 weeks old and he is a beautiful Maine Coone. We picked him up yesterday, and he is the cutest little ball of fluff. He is adventurous, playful and sweet. 

Denver County fair

Today we took the kids to the Denver County fair. There was lots of booths, games, merchants and cool stuff to see; including a tartis quilt,  petting zoo and unicorn rides!

Crater Lake National Park

Our final destination before our long drive home was Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. It really is a spectacular sight to see, it is the most vibrant blue I have ever seen in water:

Sunset Beach Botanical Gardens

On our last night on the Oregon coast, we camped at Sunset Beach. It was misting and cloudy, so we didn't play at the beach, but instead went to a botanical garden which was right next door. We were the only people there, and it is beautiful. It was landscaped perfectly, had lots of beautiful flowers and pathways, just beautiful:
