Emory at the faculty concert. He insisted on bringing his gun(stick) wehad to have a rule of no shooting during the music. I always thought I would be more nonviolent as a parent.

cognitive vs associative

Im sitting in a guitar lesson thinking about teaching tasks. Mr David says you can only do one cognitive task at a time. How many times do we ask students ti do more than one?

Lily & Daddy at the zoo

While Mama was with Emory at guitar, I took Lily to the zoo today. It is a beautiful day here, mid 50's and sunny! Lily had a great time; we spent most of the time walking to see the monkey's, but she loved the animals, got very excited to see a baby and even road the merry-go-round with me. Good times!

Lily likes to do (or try) EVERYTHING that we do. She follows Emory (even into the bathroom), and has even recently began to stand the way I do. Today she stopped everything, took her gloves off and put her hands in her pockets, and I realized that is what I was doing at that moment :-)

Lily & the Dogs

Lily Loves Grandpa Charlie's dogs! She gives them hugs, kisses and follows them around as long as possible! And they are great with her as well! They are suprisingly tollerant and let her do just about anything she wants with them...Lily love's animals soooo much!

Puppies

one of Grandpa Charlie's dogs recently had 9 puppies and we went down to visit yesterday evening. Emory & Lily both LOVED the puppies!

I took Lily to the Butterfly Pavilion, just the two of us...had so much fun (me seeing the attractions and playing in the gift shop and in a puddle).

SUPERMAN (& sister)

I watched Superman 1 with Emory recently, and he has fallen in love...he pretends to fly, do super-things and just be an all around superhero. So, naturally, I got him Superman PJ's and I'm afraid that I will have to peel them off once i'm able to convince him that he can't sleep in them, wear them all day, sleep in them, wear them all day, sleep in them...
