Memorial Day Weekend - dunes

We spent all day Sunday at the Sand Dunes. For about 2 months out of the year, there is a 'snow melt' river that runs by the sand dunes. The kids LOVED playing in the water, and also on the dunes. The tallest dune is over 750 feet, but the dunes are miles long, and miles deep - in some of the pictures, you can see little black dots in the back-ground - those are people. It was hot, windy but SO much fun!!!

Memorial Day Weekend - camping

We went camping down at Sand Dunes National Park this weekend. It is a barren dessert surrounded by beautiful mountains and sand dunes. Below are some pictures from our camp ground:
