Emory had his second piano recital today.  This was the first one where there was a stage and a grand piano.  It was a little daunting even for me in the audience. (Flashback on my own piano recitals)  In the end, he did a great job. Later, we asked him how it felt and he said, "I was so shy, I just decided not to look at the audience.  I just looked at the piano and I thought about soccer."  It was so amazing to hear his though process because of course...you can't see him making those decisions.  Proving once again that the best way to know what is going in kids heads is to have a conversation with them!
